Cosmetic eyelid surgery

There is a surgery that has both- a cosmetic and medical effect. It`s called blepharoplasty, also known as eyelid surgery. During the operation excessive tissue of skin and fat is removed from the patient`s face.
Eyelid surgery is often conducted for aesthetic purposes, as the face of the patient, thereafter, looks younger and fresh. It`s main purposes are to lift the skin, surrounding the eyes, to reduce the “bags” and wrinkles under the eyes. The eyelid surgery is another type cosmetic operation, which has lower health risks and the recover thereafter is fast and without complications.
The eyelid surgery affects disorders of the skin, surrounding the eyes, such as impairing vision.
Another type of blepharoplasty is the Asian eyelid operation. It`s called double blepharoplasty, as it creates a crease and reacts in the upper eyelid.
If you decide to take the first step towards an eyelid surgery, you must contact your surgeon. The consultation is a must, as both of you will decide whether the operation is right for you or not. People with serious health issues should not take the risk to undergo such surgery. Though the recovery could take up to 3 weeks, it`s a operation which affect your face- one of the most important things of the body.
The first step of the surgery is anesthesia. In the beginning the patient will take painkillers, in order to begin the procedure. The second and probably the most important step is the incision. The incision will remove all the fat, excessive skin and wrinkles around the eyes.
The third period of the operation is to close the incision. Eyelid operations are usually closed with removable sutures, skin adhesives and surgical tape. The last step is checking the final results of the operation and thereafter, getting back to normal life.
